Ali Budd Interiors is a full-service design studio – Toronto-based, but globally available. Our work consists of curated and bespoke pieces and lives in exclusive neighborhoods, much like The Rhodes. Consistent across all our work is an aesthetic that is both contemporary and timeless.

The interiors of The Rhodes, crafted exclusively by ABI for Blackdoor Development Company, combine a sophisticated neutral colour palette with rich wooden flooring, mixed metals, intricate panelling, fine millwork, and infusions from Toronto artists. The raw elegance of the design combined with the industry’s most innovative and premium materials elevates the concept of livable luxury, creating interiors that will stand the test of time.

Launched in 2007, RAW is one of the GTA’s most vibrant architectural studios and has now grown to an enthusiastic staff of forty. RAW possesses an international design sensibility combined with a wealth of local experience. We have focused our practice on the provision of mid-rise and mixed-use development that build on the local character and fine grain of the streetscape to animate and enrich the urban environment. We feel that emphasizing work at this scale for the regeneration of our city will strengthen each community in which they appear. We bring an open mind to our work, a sense of play and a focus on contextual fit that makes each of our projects unique and engaging.

A study in classical forms, modern materials, and delicate textures, we’ve designed The Rhodes to be a stylish new boutique condo to the fringe of Forest Hill. Along Bathurst Street, the building reads more like a large, regal house. It contains a series of luxury apartments, each suite unique and special, as well as direct elevator-to-suite access for 18 of 25 suites. The rotunda’s impressive size provides a moment for pause before continuing through to the remainder of voluminous residences, with open-concept layouts, large, custom kitchens, and high 10′ flat ceilings (4th-8th floor).
